The village hall is in dire need of refurbishment, built in 1928 as a school house for
the village children it has served the village well.
Now used for social functions: annual barbecue, quiz nights and as a meeting
place for the Parish council and the Social committee. It badly needs a face lift so
we need to raise funds to bring our village hall back to life.”
We managed against all odds and a few obstacles along the way, to build a
recreational park for children and adults of Blackthorn to be proud of. We are so
fortunate in Blackthorn to have a strong community spirit.
Now we have new projects to address our village hall need’s; and launching
the fundraising drive this month will be our Clay Pigeon Shoot at Westbury
Farm.
